Copyright & Confidentiality

Last updated: September 14, 2026

You keep the copyright

We claim no ownership of the artwork, designs, or files you send us.

Files stay confidential

Artwork is accessible only to the staff assigned to your order.

Never shared or resold

Your designs are never shown, sold, or reprinted for anyone else.

NDAs available

We sign a formal non-disclosure agreement on request, before file exchange.

1. Your Artwork, Your Copyright

When you send us artwork, designs, manuscripts, dielines, product specifications, or any other files for printing, you retain full ownership of them and of all intellectual property rights attached to them. We claim no license, ownership, or authorship over your work beyond what is strictly needed to produce your order.

By sending files for an order, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to reproduce and modify those files solely for quoting, prepress, proofing, production, and delivery of your order. This license ends when the purpose is fulfilled, except where we are required to retain records as described in Section 7.

2. What We Treat as Confidential

We treat the following as confidential, whether or not a formal agreement names them:

  • Artwork, illustrations, manuscripts, and design files you submit
  • Product specifications: sizes, papers, bindings, finishes, and quantities
  • Dielines, tooling data, molds, and plates produced for your order
  • Business information: pricing we quote you, order volumes, launch dates, and customer lists you share with us for drop shipping
  • The fact that you are producing a given product with us, where this is not public

As a rule of thumb: if you would hesitate to hand it to a stranger, we treat it as confidential.

3. Our Confidentiality Commitments

  • Files are stored on access-controlled systems and are visible only to prepress and production staff assigned to your order.
  • We do not sell, share, publish, or otherwise disclose your files or project details to third parties, except carriers and service providers who need limited details (address, carton count) to deliver your order.
  • Printed proofs, misprints, and overrun copies containing your artwork are shredded or returned, not given away or sold.
  • Staff are briefed on confidentiality as part of onboarding, and violations are treated as serious disciplinary matters.
  • We do not discuss your project with anyone who contacts us about it — including other customers, friends, or family — unless you ask us to in writing.

4. Portfolio & Sample Use: Permission First

We are proud of our work and may want to photograph a sample for our website, catalog, or social media. We will always ask for your written permission first, tell you exactly where and how it would be shown, and honor a “no” without questions. If your product is unreleased or confidential, we do not ask — we simply do not use it.

If we have photographed your products in the past and you later change your mind, email us and we will remove them from our channels within 7 business days.

5. Exclusive Production

The plates, dielines, tooling, and setup produced for your order belong to your job. We do not use them — or your approved files — to print the same or similar products for anyone else, even if asked. If another customer requests a product that resembles yours, we decline and do not tell them why.

On request, we can return or destroy tooling and plates after your order completes; otherwise they are retained only for your convenience on reorders, under the same confidentiality terms.

6. Copyright Compliance

When you submit artwork, you confirm that you own it or hold a valid license for it, and that printing it will not infringe the rights of any third party. As the copyright owner or licensee, you remain responsible for the content you ask us to reproduce.

We do not knowingly print counterfeit goods, unlicensed characters or merchandise, or material that infringes trademarks or copyrights. If a project appears to infringe someone else's rights, we will pause production and ask you to clarify ownership before continuing, and we may decline the job entirely. We respond to valid, properly submitted takedown or infringement notices through [email protected].

7. File Retention & Deletion

We keep your production files for up to 24 months after your last order so reorders are fast and consistent. Personal information collected with your order is handled under our Privacy Policy.

You may ask us to delete your files at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will confirm deletion within 7 business days. Note that we may retain minimal records (invoices, shipping documents) where required by tax or customs law.

8. Formal NDAs

For unreleased products, manuscripts before publication, licensed merchandise, or any project where you want contractual protection, we are glad to sign a non-disclosure agreement before you send any files. We can work with your template or provide our own. Email [email protected] with your project outline and we will return a signed NDA, typically within one business day.

9. Standard Exceptions

Confidentiality obligations do not apply to information that:

  • Is or becomes publicly available through no fault of ours
  • Was already lawfully known to us before you shared it
  • Is independently developed by us without reference to your materials
  • Must be disclosed by law, court order, or a competent authority — where permitted, we will notify you before any such disclosure
